When Obama was elected, it seemed that no one was rejoicing more than Muslim communities around the world. It seemed there was some chance that our country would end terrorizing of Muslim countries around the world.
Seems that patience is running out, though:

As an aside, I’ve often wondered who the last President was that we’ve had that was even moderately anti-war. I previously thought that you would have to go back before Woodrow Wilson to find one, but this recent interview of Jimmy Carter is quite enlightening:

Although there were undoubtedly covert operations that interfered with various countries, it does appear that no troops were committed during his administration. It was also interesting to hear that he’s considered to be one of the most libertarian-leaning Presidents we’ve ever had (#8 on the list). My meandering lead me to this very interesting article:
